Unfinished indeed!!!!

Good day to all of you, lovely people of this planet!  Hope you are having an awesome day today.  Here I am finally, an author in the making half century into my life deciding to start conversing and interacting with the world the way I always wanted to.  So here are my ramblings for today introducing my oh! so small world...

Briefly, I am a very proud, independent, empowered and empowering middle class woman with a middle class upbringing, an entrepreneur having been successful in establishing and transitioning multiple businesses, and a very proud single mother of two wonderful kids.  Wondering what's so special about all this, right?  Nothing probably or just about everything :-) When I was a young girl all of around 6 years old a strange sort of drama started off in my life involving lies, deceit, exploitation, cheating, marital discord, and the works....all seeming like a movie one might have seen.  This made me a thinker I guess and I started having an imagination, one where I was in a perfect world (or so one would imagine for a young girl), with nothing going wrong and would form my stories around it.  Slowing as the years went by, it seemed like a great place to get away to where you escaped facing the inevitable or so it seemed.  In this entire make believe world, I developed a love for writing poetry and conjuring up beautiful stories.  My mother was a very highly educated, empowered, and independent woman and that inspired me to believe that I could be one some  day.  This thought sowed the seed of yearning to be an author and write an inspirational story some day.  I would write poetry and dabble with some writing and wonder if it was worth something but never got to do anything else.  Some day...., I said to myself, some day.....I will, and that day is almost here when I have published my book to be released next week titled, "Unfinished - A woman's tryst with destiny."  I look for support from all of you lovely people of the world.  I would love to interact with you through this blog where I shall reveal to you my journey in life to where I am today, why the book, about it and what I look to achieve from it.  Also, since I love cooking, baking, traveling, singing, and so many other things, let's delve into my world together and maybe in all this enrich each other's lives.  But for starters, this book is for me, my children, and all the young women whom I hope I can inspire to carry on the journey which I choose for myself.  Life is about choices, being empowered is about choices, and success is about choices we make; I made mine and I would like to inspire others to do so.  It is a continuous journey and not a destination and as the saying goes, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going!"....a mantra of my life which is why I am not done yet and got "miles to go before I sleep" i.e. Unfinished.  A small excerpt from the book:

Anusha, a 45-year-old single mother looks out the window of the Volvo bus that she has just boarded with her two children, Shruti and Arjun leaving Bangalore forever heading to a new city where they hope to start life afresh leaving all their old memories, broken hearts, and relationships behind.  This is a place they hope will be a place where no one and nothing will bother them and drive them to feel helpless and hopeless again, where no human being will insult them or their mother ever again, where there will be nobody but them as a family again with no interference from a pseudo world and a pseudo family.

Will this journey be the last of her life or a new journey to success again?
Will this relocation at this stage in her life be a new beginning or a new ending?
Will this new city be a place where she sprouts a new leaf in her life or writes the obituary to her life?
Will this be the rise of a phoenix or the fall of the titan?
Will this journey lead to a new sunrise of her life or be the sunset in her life?
Will this be a blessing for her children or a curse?
Will she be able to live past all her trials and tribulations and rise to be the successful woman that she always wanted to be and wanted the world to look upon her as?
As these questions starts boomeranging in her mind, her minds shifts back to her younger days as a girl, memories flood her mind and the makings of a winner and a leader is unveiled as a flashback of a movie where she introduces herself to the world.  The bus stops and it is time to alight.

Too serious for the first blog, eh!  I will lighten up the next time...until next time, y'all!  Keep smiling!  Peace out!
