Once in a lifetime you have a surreal experience of watching a dream come true or accomplishing something that's close to your heart. One such time was last year in March as I proudly launched my book, "Midnight Musings - A Collection of Odes & Quotes," a book written with utmost passion, across all channels. Having received brilliant reviews from Bhavani Iyer, Celebrated Screenwriter of Black, Lootera, Raazi fame & the respected, Sadiqa Peerbhoy, Author of 8 books and a well-known advertising professional, my joy has known no bounds as I continue my writing journey in Dubai, UAE. Midnight Musings!

When the night sets in, the world around me sleeps away slipping into dreams, I slip into an abyss where my thoughts flow from a different dimension forming beautiful verses that manifest into a poem or a quote. This book is a result of my rendezvous with the Universe & my Spiritual master. I withdraw within to introspect, to find myself and peace in the silence of my world. Often, human beings ignore the beauty that exists around, be it in the form of creation, art, or what the eyes sees and the heart, soul & mind combinedly perceive. Poetry, I believe, is an intense, intricate, and inimitable language of each soul, unique yet beautiful. I present this to you for, “Words are all I have to present as a gift to thee!”

Human beings endeavor to attain happiness for tomorrow, forgetting it already exists today, as they are busy chasing your evasive tomorrow. The emptiness of abysmally living without a purpose, amassing materialistic wealth can perish if we imbibe certain virtues such as tolerance, acceptance, compassion and empathy. The attempt of this book is to jostle your mind, cajole your senses, soothe the soul, rake emotions, awaken the kid within while making you smile, laugh, cry, ponder and then become silent to introspect within. This book, written from deep within the soul of a writer who lives life with a higher purpose will take you through myriad moods, emotions, circumstances, feelings, relationships, the everything & nothingness of the universe.

Always remember when there is utter silence, the voice of your soul shall be audible because silence speaks through art, music, creation, the soul, mind, eyes, tears, laughter, happiness, sadness, and then yes, through WORDS!

"In chasing Money & Fame, we lose Time.... In making up for Time, we lose important Relationships, In losing Relationships, we lose strength, peace of Mind & Trust, In losing Strength, Trust, and Peace of Mind, we lose our Health In losing our Health, we lose everything we have & end up Lonely!" - Kay S  As I passed through life in installments, sometimes happily, sometimes melancholically, at times brave and at times frail and afraid, I learnt some very important lessons on the important pivots that define Life, the essence of it, and the lack of the same.   A Theatre Review – Jiss Ne Lahore Nai Dekhiya by Kay S “Let the borders be outside, not inside.” Abhijit Naskar, Author The remnants of humanity and human relationships live on to raise its ugly hood, resonating, and at times transporting us through books, plays, or a movie into a zone of eternal bliss where there is camaraderie, brotherhood and unity that still exists. We as human beings are a flawed race to be frank, and the sooner we accept this fact, the better off we will be and endeavor to at least attain a semblance of being a better version of ourselves.  This thought seemed to echo in my mind, heart, and soul at the highest decibel it ever could as I watched the play, “Jiss Ne Lahore Nai Dekhiya” written by playwright Asghar Wajahat, directed by Zafer Mohiuddin of Kathputliyaan Theatre Group.  I have been so touched deep in my soul by the storyline, the underlying message.  The impeccable performances of the actors who were par excellence carry...
